(1) There will be one women protection officer in each women's development office for coordinating work related to controlling domestic violence.
(2) Provision of protection officer according to sub-rule (1). Until then, the concerned women development officer will also work as a protection officer.
(3) Other duties, duties and rights of the protection officer as per sub-rule (1) shall be as follows:-
(a) To act as a contact point at the district level in relation to controlling domestic violence,
(b) maintaining coordination with complaint hearing bodies and service centres,
(c) providing legal assistance to victims,
(D) To provide counseling and psychological services to victims and perpetrators as needed
(e) updating the description of domestic violence,
(f) To perform other tasks prescribed by the Ministry.
(4) For the purpose of providing legal aid to the victims, the Ministry may form a legal aid committee as needed.
(5) The legal aid committee as per sub-rule (4) shall be formed in accordance with the procedures and duties, duties and rights prescribed by the Ministry.
